Historical Facts of a Modern Plumbing Pioneer
For over 40 years, IPS CORPORATION has continually redefined the state of the plumbing industry. IPS was the first company to produce a reliable cement for use with PVC, CPVC and ABS pipe and fittings. Our products are recognized for their labor-saving efficiency and convenience.
1954: IPS
developed the first solvent welding products for America's plumbing
industry, establishing a new standard for drain, waste and vent systems.
That makes us responsible for decades of success enjoyed by plastic
pipe and fitting manufacturers.
1969: IPS
introduced the first recessed plastic washing machine box which was
so well received by the industry, it has been widely imitated by other
manufacturers. It is, in some form, a standard fixture in virtually
every home built in America today.
1978: IPS
regained the industry's favor with the first recessed ice maker box.
It too has been massively duplicated by other manufacturers.
1987: IPS
introduced the first adjustable, multi-size residential roof vent flashings.
It conveniently minimizes the roofer's inventory by eliminating the
need for single sized roof flashings for each vent pipe diameter on
the job.
1992: IPS
in response to growing air quality concerns, was first to formulate
a line of LOW VOC solvent welding products. While we are no longer alone
in the LOW VOC market, our line is complete and preferred by professionals.
1995: IPS
does it again...the labor saving attributes of "The Angle Stop
Box" and "The Dimple" virtually eliminate the "stubbing
out" process
